Has trunk and branches lactescentes, highly branched and florífero. The pantry is small and rounded, with simple leaves, lanceolate and leathery. It has evergreen. Flowering intense and lasting flowers with pink, white and red formed from September to March. The leaves and flowers are considered toxic. The fruits are like pods.

Very ornamental plant for its flowering, when conducted with a single trunk, reaches sized tree and can be used in urban areas. It is very tolerant of cold and very rough as the conditions of soil and climate in general. It can be grown throughout Brazil.
