Size ranges from 4 to 12 meters.
Short trunk and dense crown. It has deep green foliage perennial, with leaves medium, lanceolate and pubescent. The flowering season varies by region, with small flowers grouped in clusters unimportant ornamental. The fruits are edible size small to medium, yellow in color when ripe and very much appreciated by birds.
Medium to fast growth.
Species commonly used in the Southeast and South, especially in residential orchards. Due to its ornamental, can successfully be used in landscaping.
